OAKLAND BEDROOM

Spacious bedroom with lots of natural light needed new layout to optimize the space and a fresh look. With a focus on wood finishes, the design embraces a rustic modern style. Muted cool and warm tones bring in a balance that offers tranquility.

MOSCOW LIVING ROOM

A family of four moved into a new Moscow apartment with existing pieces used in their former home. The goal was to make the most of the new space with a layout that offered several places to socialize and relax. With limited local vendors available (IKEA is a favorite), the design embraced a functional and stylish use of new pieces to enhance existing items.

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE OFFICE

Anyone who has been to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico know the magic that exists there. One such magical occasion was acquiring our office space there. What once was a real estate agency that downsized, became a vacant space of abandoned large desks and tired yellow paint. The joy of my 3 months there was transforming that space into an environment for The Good Abode to operate from. Here's a sneak peek. More to come.

TWEEN BEDROOM

Tweens have a tendency to change their minds. As developing individuals, they are testing out preferences in style in a variety of ways, one being the decor of their rooms. Eleven year old, Mimi, knew she had outgrown much of her bedroom design including the pink tones and the elaborately painted vintage furniture. These before & afters give a glimpse of how this bedroom is growing up with the girl.

SAN MIGUEL HOME: LIVING/DINING

A retired couple from Washington D.C. bought this charming colonial home in San Miguel de Allende. They wanted to give it a refreshed look in order to make it rental ready for vacationers. Revamping some existing items and adding local decor touches, the spaces feel light, global, and comfortable.
